Amita Ramanujan was born in India but moved to California early in her childhood. She attended CalSci, where Charlie was her thesis advisor while she earned her first PhD in applied mathematics. She is working on or has garnered another PhD in astrophysics, which makes her something like Charlie and Larry combined. She now works for the university and has a budding relationship with Charlie. However, they have been on and off many times due to work conflicts and personal epiphanies.
